New Here?

Welcome to our church, we’re so glad you’re here.
No experience necessary.

What’s church about?

We are a warm, friendly church that worships together every Sunday at 9:30am. We see our services as a family get-together not a formal ceremony.

Church is about people coming together to worship Jesus, learn more about how the bible applies to today and to support one another in daily life as a church community.

It’s not about our building, it’s about the people who gather here. A group of people who love Jesus and follow his word.

There are no special requirements – no experience necessary.

What happens at church gatherings?

We sing together about who God and praise him for who he is.
We pray together, for our church and our community.
We take Communion together, remembering Jesus’ life, death and resurrection. It is a way for us to honour the sacrifice of Jesus. Our pastor  or leaders share God’s message with us, to teach and encourage us in our  Christian walk. Even if you are not a Christian, messages provide  encouragement and great value in daily life.
We’ll take up an offering together, which supports the church, our local  community and people in need throughout the world. There is no  pressure to give, please only do so if you feel comfortable. We share in morning tea following the service, while children enjoy playing in the playground while you chat!

Where to go when you arrive

Head straight to the front doors on the corner of Burnett and Haly Street.  If you have questions, our greeters will be there to help answer your questions or point you to the person who can. Otherwise just take a seat and settle in.

What to wear to a service

We are very relaxed in the country and you will most likely see people wearing anything from shorts and thongs, to jeans and polo shirts – just wear whatever you feel most comfortable in!

If you have children

We value children and are committed to providing a safe and fun kid-friendly church atmosphere. We have lots of lovely families in our church, so no need to worry if your children make some noise during the service – we aren’t worried.

Mid-way through the service children from age 3 years old to Grade 6 can also join our Prime Time program, which unpacks the truth of the bible in a way they can understand, giving you some space to focus on the rest of the service.

Please don’t hesitate to come and take a look, meet the leaders and observe what they do. Parents can sign their children in for this program in the front foyer prior to the service. We will ask you to sign our Registration Form , which helps us keep your kids safe and cared for.

All our leaders are also screened and trained to high Child Safe practices.

What to bring to a service

You don’t need to bring anything except your baby bag if you have a little one. We have a baby/toddler room so your little ones can play if they are restless during the service.

We also have complimentary refreshments after the service, and complimentary Bibles to take home (if you are interested).

Parking

We have a small carpark on Haly Street (west) side of the church for families with young children and for the elderly.  There is also additional parking at the childcare centre across the street, and plenty of street parking along both Haly and Burnett Streets.
